to Volunteers of America of Southwest California
Whether teaching a child to read, providing a nutritious meal to a homebound frail senior, or helping a family in crisis transition to stability and independence, Volunteers of America helps individuals and families acquire the hope and skills needed to live more productive and satisfying lives.
Founded in 1896, Volunteers of America is a nonprofit health and human services organization that assists less fortunate individuals and families by providing them with the tools to improve their quality of life. The purpose of our programs is to strengthen the social, spiritual, psychological and physical well-being of those we serve. Our programs focus on four primary service areas:
The service territory for Volunteers of America of Southwest California encompasses San Diego, Imperial, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. In 2009, we will expand our service territory to include the state of Arizona.
