Welcome

to Volunteers of America of Southwest California

Whether teaching a child to read, providing a nutritious meal to a homebound frail senior, or helping a family in crisis transition to stability and independence, Volunteers of America helps individuals and families acquire the hope and skills needed to live more productive and satisfying lives.

Founded in 1896, Volunteers of America is a nonprofit health and human services organization that assists less fortunate individuals and families. We provide them with the tools to improve their quality of life. The purpose of our programs is to strengthen the social, spiritual, psychological and physical well-being of those we serve. Our programs focus on four primary service areas:

The service territory for Volunteers of America of Southwest California encompasses San Diego, Imperial, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Thank you for chipping in for an amazing cause!

On behalf of the grateful Board of Directors and staff of Volunteers of America of Southwest California, I would like to personally thank all sponsors and golfers that participated in the Volunteers of America 12th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic charity event that was held on Sept. 19, 2011. Without your help, we would not have been able to raise the funds necessary to benefit the educational services and programs of Volunteers of America. Your faithful support was the difference maker to Volunteers of America and the clients whose lives are literally turned around by our programs. We hope that you had a wonderful time and hope to see you next year.

Sincerely,

Micah McFadden

Life Without Black People

This is a story of a little boy named Theo who woke up one morning and asked his mother, “Mom, what if there were no Black people in the world?”
